For best practices: 

• Store in a cool, dry place: Keep tightly covered and away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. A pantry, cupboard, or drawer is usually ideal.
• Avoid temperature extremes: Excessive heat can cause the salve to soften or melt, while repeated temperature changes can affect its texture.
• Keep the container closed: Close the lid securely after each use to help prevent moisture, dust, and contaminants from getting into the salve.
• Use clean, dry hands or a clean applicator: Avoid introducing water into the container, since moisture can shorten the product's shelf life.
• For external use: Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin as needed. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes unless the product is specifically formulated for those areas.
• Patch test first: If the salve contains multiple herbs or botanicals, test a small amount on an inconspicuous area of skin before widespread use.
• Watch for changes: Discontinue use if you notice an unusual odor, discoloration, mold, separation that doesn't resolve with normal temperature changes, or other signs of spoilage.

For the best usage, use withing 9 months of the manufacture date printed on the bottom of each tin.
